7 Basic Thesis of Thyrsos Hellenes
Gentiles
(The following constitutes our exclusive thesis, part
or all of which may differ from the beliefs or thesis of the other organized
Hellenic groups)
Hellenism
The term Hellenism constitutes a modern term which denotes the Heathen
pre-Christian Worldview. With the term Hellenism, we do not refer to the
citizens who have the nationality of the modern Hellenic state, neither
those people who have Greek origin. The meaning of Hellenism encompasses all
those who freely choose to follow the Naturally developed Hellenic Ethnic,
not monotheistic, Way of Thought. Hellenism as a term encompasses the whole
belief system of the Greek Ethnic period which is defined as pre-Christian,
the Historical Beginning of which can be placed in Arcadia and Minoan Crete,
as well as the beliefs of those who continued to defend this particular
Worldview at a later period until up to our days.
Main characteristics
It is clear that the main characteristic of Hellenism is its religious view,
i.e. Polytheism, which constitutes the base upon which Hellenic Civilization
of the pre-monotheistic period was developed, and is also the primary
characteristic upon which we can rely on in order to understand the complete
Hellenic Worldview. Any attempt to cut-off the worship beliefs from
Hellenism is an act of amputation, and whatever system of thought derives
from such an act, can only be a handicapped one.
Political level
Hellenism cannot be a branch of, or depend on any specific modern political
ideology, since it preceded them all. And it is impossible for any specific
political party from those that exist today, to exclusively embrace or
control Hellenism, since they all owe their existence to a school of thought
that is miles away from the Greek Way, while their dynamics may at best
derive only from specific aspects they have borrowed from Hellenism. Any
attempt to identify Hellenism with specific political parties, belonging
either to the Left or to the Right, either to their extremes or to the
modest ones, is destined to failure, since the parties themselves are unable
to raise the special weight of Hellenism and especially that region within
Hellenism which is called Polytheism.
As a System
Hellenism is Philosophically revolutionary since it openly proposes the
dispute and prohibition of the modern way of life because it is deprived of
spirituality and justice and it relies almost exclusively on a material and
technocratic perception while it explicitly downgrades human as a Being,
since it practically and demonstrably deprives humans of their development,
as a result of their chronic confinement within that system of thought.
Hellenism cannot be represented by definition, but it requires each person
to accept his or her responsibility in every social dimension and especially
the one connected with political activities.
Is it a Dogma?
If by the term dogma we are referring to the modern etymology of the word
which means a sealed, final and irrevocable system of thought that requires
blind application considering each opposition as a dangerous sect, then of
course, and with great emphasis, the answer is, no!
The plethora of ideas, their diversity and their aim to cover the social
needs in each different historical moment, constitute the founding stones of
Hellenism, which is not deprived of regulations about life or behavior, but
rather, those are the distillation of many and different Philosophical
Schools that have Human as their common center and his relationship with the
Gods, the natural environment (which we do not consider our property but, on
the contrary, consider ourselves to be its guests), the humanity either as
an entity or in the level of interpersonal relations, and also the
individual character of each and every person. The old regulations can be
put under dispute without fear if a new theory provides arguments and proves
through an organized system that it can offer more advantages in favor of
humans and their relationship with all of the above mentioned correlations.
The testimony for all of these points is provided by the existence of
various perceptions in different periods of the Hellenic Civilization, which
are not separated but rather make Hellenism complete.
The relationship with other Ethnic Traditions
Concerning the European traditions with which we are related both
historically and due to the vicinity, Hellenism does what it always did. It
coexists and interacts, supporting the Creation of a wider European
Heathenry, which has its Historical Starting point in the Greek Heathen Way,
goes on to the corresponding Roman Heathenry and then reaches beyond, to
every other Heathenry of all the people in our Mother Continent Europe.
It henceforth appears clearly as a historical fact, since the required
centuries have passed, the facts/landmarks are known, and we now have the
Knowledge and the necessary technology that promotes communication, thus
henceforth all the European Traditions acquire a common parameter, but at
the same time they maintain their essential National identity, since this
characteristic is the base upon which the whole Construction settles.
Outside Europe, the Ethnic - non monotheistic Traditions of other nations
are of course much closer to the Hellenic Way than any non-Ethnic cultural
system.
Back in time?
It is naïve to believe that Hellenism is technophobic, or requests its
members to walk around wearing archaic costumes. Something like that would
at best be a romantic duplication, or at worst, a psychopathologic
situation. However, technology as well as aesthetics is placed under a new
viewpoint in Hellenism.
As long as technology serves the human needs, and –more importantly– does
not turn against natural environment which constitutes a Live Being and not
just lifeless material, it is necessary to develop parallel to society.
As for the aesthetics in buildings but also in clothing or in any other
aspect, we definitely believe that it has to create Harmony and Uplift the
Spirit without being afraid to constantly propose something new and updated.
Finally it is double as naive to believe that Hellenism is only an aesthetic
fetish for those who do not feel comfortable with their way of life and seek
to hide within a shelter outside of time and space.
